Student Council Christmas Party

 

Student Council will be holding a Christmas party on December 18^th from 3:00-5:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. We have decided to watch Elf (PG), and if you have any concerns please talk to Ms. Corn. Each grade will have to bring an item to the party. Please do not feel like you need to bring enough for the entire Council. It will be a buffet style. If you are assigned to bring a dessert just bring a dozen cookies or a pan of brownies. There will be plenty of food for everyone.

 

            5^th Grade – Take home treat (each student should bring about 5)

            6^th Grade – Appetizer (chips, dip, pretzels, etc.)

7^th Grade – Dessert (a dozen cookies, a pan of brownies, etc.)

8^th Grade – Beverage (2 liter bottle of soda, 12 pack, gallon of juice)

December 9th - Set up for Walther Memorial Dinner (Start at Immanuel) 9:00 am

December 10th - Walther Memorial Dinner (at Walther Memorial) 10:00 - 11:30 and 11:30 - 1:00

December 18th - Student Council Christmas Party 3:00 - 4:30

Dear Student Council Members and Parents –

 

There are many events this time of year. For our community service project, Student Council will be helping a Christ Care group from the church with the Walther Memorial Dinner. There are four different opportunities to serve at this event on three different dates. I would like all student council members to sign up for one of the dates. If they would like to sign up for more than one time, that would be wonderful, but I am asking at least one. I will be at all of the events to supervise any council members who attend. The following is a list of the dates, times, and a description of the event.

 

December 2^nd – Starting at 9:00 am - Gift wrapping for the dinner

December 9^th – 9:00 – 11:00 am – Set up for the dinner

(Meet at Immanuel to car pool)

December 10^th – 10:00 – 11:30 am – First Dinner Shift

December 10^th – 11:30 – 1:00 pm – Second Dinner Shift  

 

I will be asking the student council members to sign up for one of the times on Monday, November 20^th in order to give the Christ Care group accurate numbers. Please check your schedules and let them know what time and event they can sign up for on Monday.

I have also included directions to Walther Memorial from Immanuel Lutheran School. Please keep these directions, especially if your child signs up for the dinner since you will need to provide the transportation there and back.
