What should I do if I am absent on the day of a Spelling Quiz?

Turn in your Spelling Power Worksheet when you return to class.
Instead of
taking an oral spelling quiz, write 20 sentences (using each word
twice) and
turn this in to Ms. Traver. Make sure you spell the words
correctly in the
sentences. This counts as your Spelling Quiz.

How do I transfer assignments from my home computer to school?

There are several answers. Hopefully, the software you use at
home is
compatible with what we use at school, which is MS Office 2003.
If you use
Office 2007, you have to save it as an older version. We are
gradually
updating our system.

1. Invest in a flash drive, or jump drive. Save your work on a
USB flash
drive and transfer it to your account at school. A teacher can
help you.
Please test it out first because this doesn't always work.
2. Email your work to your teacher. I suggest you try to email it
as an
attachment as well as include it in the text of your email. Your
teacher can
help you save it to your account.

Is there any extra credit I can do?

I encourage you to try your best on every assignment. You can
really raise
your grade by doing well on major assignments, such as the
quarter project.
Put your effort into this.
If you want to improve your spelling grade, study the bonus words
because every
week I include two bonus words.
When we take tests and quizzes, I often include an extra essay
question.
Give it a try.
I rarely give out extra credit to raise grades because I prefer
that put your effort into what we're currently learning in class.
Visit my web page often because I sometimes give extra credit for
reading something or attending a community event.

Can I work on my PPT for my 2nd Quarter Project at home?

You will be given three class periods to prepare your
presentation, which
should give you plenty of time. You should have your slides
planned on paper
before working on PPT. Also, animation should be the last thing
to be added.
If you do work at home, there is always a chance it might not
work with the
school's computer system.

How am I going to show my PPT to the class?

When you are completely done with your presentation, save a copy
to the
folder in the Student Shared Drive. You will show your
presentation on the
SmartBoard.
