Weekly Homework Assignments:
1. Every Tuesday we will send home a shared reading sheet for your child to read to you. We ask that your child read these two times in order to foster fluency in their reading. These sheets contain excerpts from our basal reader and should be familiar to your son/daughter. When completed, please sign and return to school in the red folder. We greatly appreciate your help and support with this program!
2. Another weekly assignment is the GROW (Geography Review of Our World) questions. Each week's assignment will contain six questions that will help to promote understanding of basic geographic locations, map and globe usage, correct state/contintent spellings, etc. The GROW sheets will arrive home on Fridays and should be returned the following Friday.
3. On Wednesdays you'll see a (purple) spelling practice sheet come home. This is simply used as one additional way for your child to practice spelling words for Friday's test. These sheets do not have to come back to school.
