Welcome to 4K!
My path into education began at Edgewood College where I received my BS
degreee in Early Childhood; Exceptional Educational Needs and Pre-
Kindergarten through Third Grade. After graduating I was a substitute
teacher for the Sun Prairie Area School District. From there, I went to
Kids Express Learning Center where I taught for 4 and a half years.
I finished out the 2004-2005 school year at Cottage Grove School in the
Early Childhood classroom as an educational assistant. I then became the
Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Cottage Grove School starting the 2005-2006
school year and continued through the 2007-2008 school year. The program
changed to 4-year old Kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year, where I am
currently one of the 4K teachers. I received my Masters of Education in
October of 2008, in the area of Collaborative Teaching and Learning.
On a personal note, I currently live in Sun Prairie with my husband Wade,
where he is a firefighter. We have a 3 year old son named Braxton, a 2
year old son named Ryely and a chocolate lab named Zelda. Our family time
is spent camping, taking walks, and enjoying the outdoors!
I have worked for the Monona Grove School District for 7 years, 5 of them in
Pre-Kindergarten. My husband Dave and I have been married for 19 years! We
have two daughters, Jamie is 17 and a Senior at MG High School. Karli is
14 and in the 8th grade at Glacial Drumlin School.
I spend a lot of my time at soccer games since both of my girls play. I also
enjoy snowmobiling, taking rides on the Harley, gardening, spending time with
family and friends and curling up on the couch with a good book.
