St. Pius X Mission Statement

We follow the mission of Jesus by proclaiming the Kingdom of God in word and action.

Faith Formation Goals:

• To be a prayerful department, dependent on God for direction
• To share our awareness that God is alive and working in our lives
• To see Jesus in those to whom we minister and encounter daily
• To maintain a cooperative and collaborative relationship with the parish, school, parents, catechists, students and staff
• To instill within our faith community a desire for God

We at St. Pius X participate in the Christian formation of your child(ren). We hope to share with you the meaning of Christian life through teaching the message of Jesus as revealed to us by God and proclaimed by the Church. We hope to encourage development of your familiy's God given abilities for service to others in building a true Christian community. Our goal is to promote the growth of your child's faith by providing an experience of a faith community that will nurture and sustain that faith. We are guided in the achievement of this goal by the mandate of the Gospel and by the General Directory of Catechesis issued by the bishops of the United States.

Parents are the primary educators of their children. Catholic parents are supported in their roles of informing, forming and transforming their children according to the Catholic faith through their partnerships with the catechists in their children's Faith Formation classes and with the members of the parish faith community. The three-way partnership between home, class and parish is strengthened through the pervasive presence of the Spirit of Jesus.
