Erin Cencula - Director of Faith Formation

Erin is originally from Ohio, but has moved all around the US with her husband Jim's engineer managing position at General Electric. Together they have three children; two grown daughters and a son at Xavier High School. Erin has over ten years experience in youth ministry and serves as our Director of Faith Formation here at St. Pius X.

Erin is passionate about young people and helping them celebrate both their youth and their faith. She considers it a blessing to journey together with our young people as they make their faith their own, embracing our rich Catholic traditions and building a personal relationship with the Lord.

Judy Janus - Faith Formation Secretary

Judy has lived in Appleton all her life and is a widow with two married children and four grandchildren. Grandpa has a granddaughter with him in heaven. Judy's grandchildren are the apple of her eye and she is most fortunate to have them nearby in Kaukauna and Greenville. Judy was educated at St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from Xavier High School. Her career has taken her back to Xavier as secretary to principal Matt Reynebeau, the ACES Central Office, St. Pius X day school secretary and now to her current position as Faith Formation Secretary.

Erin Riley - Coordinator Grades 1 - 4

Claudia Tassoul - Coordinator Middle School Grades 5 - 7

Claudia is originally from Wausau and graduated from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee with a BA in Art Education and minors in English and Religion. She has continued her religious education through seminars, workshops, retreats and classes. After 27 years of full time teaching including the ACES/Xavier system Claudia retired and joined the St. Pius X Faith Formation staff in August 2004. Claudia enjoys spending time with her children, their spouses, grandchildren and friends.

Kathleen Schommer - Coordinator High School Grades 8 - 10

Kathleen is an alumna of St. Pius X and a graduate of UW-Oshkosh with a BS in Secondary Education majoring in Natural Science and minoring in Biology and Geology. Previous to joining the Faith Formation staff she was a K-8 Computer/Technology teacher and school librarian at Holy Name School in Kimberly. Currently she is working toward a graduate Online Technology Educator certification. Kathleen treasures time spent with her husband, Mike, daughter Sara (another St. Pius X Alumna) and two granddaughters, one who is currently a student at St. Pius X - that's three generations!
