These are the sketch book assignments for the first quarter:
Weeks of September 7th and 14th
Look outside your window and draw what you see.
(Use techniques from “American Landscapes”)
Weeks of September 21st and 28th
Draw what you would like to have for lunch
(Remember shading of round objects from last year.)
Weeks of October 5th and 12th
“Draw” a word as its shape. – such as the word apple in the shape of
an apple
(Be creative and use color if appropriate)
Weeks of October 19th and 26th
Find some fall leaves and draw (not trace) them using colored pencil
to color them.
(Look at the many colors in the leaves, do not just color them orange!)
