Week of December 14th.... We are in the third week of Advent! This week we take time away from sacrifice and be joyful while looking forward to Christmas and the coming of Christ. We will start our secret santa project on Wednesday, Dec. 16th. We are certain this will be an enjoyable time making people happy! In Reading, we continue to study about summarizing through story telling. We will be doing a more in-depth study on Fairy tales and fables. Children will need to choose one book of each and do a comparison/contrast. They will ultimately get to pick one of the stories and after learning the art of story telling, perform a story for the class. Dates and things that are coming up..... Secret Santa will start December 16th. Christmas party sign up will go home today. Please consider donating your time. We look forward to listening to our school's music program this Tuesday starting at 6:00. What a great way to celebrate Christmas together! Progress reports went home last Friday. Please sign/comment and send them back as soon as possible. Please continue to support our efforts here at school by encouraging the Daily 5 at home. Remember the daily 5 is read to self, read aloud to someone, listen to someone read to you, write, and do some sort of word work. Have a great week! God Bless You! Sincerely, Mrs. Julie Murphy If you are interested in playing and entering the Jessica Doyle game, go to jessicadoyle.wisconsin.gov/wheresjessica and you can enter once a week.
