I have been teaching at S.J.B. for 29 years. I have taught a variety
of levels from Grade 4 through 8. I am happy to be back where I
started "many moons" ago, in my original classroom teaching Junior High
Science with an 8th grade homeroom.
Two years ago I initiated the S.J.B. art program with the help of my
daughter, an art teacher, and Mrs. Faith Albert, who has a Fine
Arts degree. I feel that this has been very successful and an asset to our
school. We have participated in three major art displays around Sheboygan
County. Last year we had three art pieces move on the next level at
the "Helen Meirs" art contest with two of them taking first and second place
at state.
I have been married for 41 years (yes 41! That is not a typo) and my
husband is a right-of-way agent for the gas and oil industry. I have two
wonderfl daughters (Stacy and Krystal), two great son-in-laws (Patrick and
Lee), and 3 awsome grandchildren (Harrison, Cora and Leo). I love animals
therefore I have 2 cats and 2 dogs.
I enjoy reading, writing, doing art, fishing and spending time with my
animals and especially my grandchildren.
This year I will be teaching 6, 7, and 8th grade science and art and
first geade art. These are both "hands-on" classes, and I hope to give the
students some exciting experiences. It should be an enjoyable year for all
of us.
I truly love my job and the children at S.J.B. This is a wonderful
place to teach and I cannot think of anything else I would rather be doing.
