Author of the Month for September is Kevin Henkes
Kevin Henkes is a native of Wisconsin. He was born in Racine and is currently
living with his family in Madison, Wisconsin.
Kevin has always had a love of not only books, but the illustrations in books
as well. He often dreamed as a child of being an author and illustrator, but
never imagined he would actually be one.
Congratulations to Kevin for winning the Children's Choice award in 1986 for
his book called: Weekend with Wendall. He also won the Elizabeth Burr award
for his book entitled: Words of Stone.
