May 17th

Hi Everyone,
Teacherease is up to date!  Please check it as any late work will be accepted only through Wednesday.

The last Mass we are in charge of is on Thursday.  I have been so proud of the kids as they participate.  They are so responsible and impressive.

"Teach the teacher" starts next week, ask your child about it if you haven't heard anything already.  I can't wait to learn some new stuff!

There will be no more spelling so spelling books should stay at home.

Many students have books out from my classroom library, if you could look around the house and check for books labeled Mort, I would love to get them back sooner than later.

Welcome to the home stretch!  We only have a few more weeks, but I hope to make them productive.  Next week we have an awards ceremony for sports on Tuesday, on Wednesday we will have the Band concert and our last spelling list of the year and Friday there will be no school for students.

May 7th

Hello Everyone,

I can't begin to tell you how glad I was to start spending my days with your kids again.  The plays were great, but I felt so disconnected!  We spent some time sharing and catching up this morning and now we need to get back to business to finish the year strong.  We will continue our work with black boxes for the week as we work on building a device that hums and then dings.  Writing and more grammar will be our focus for Language.  We will concentrate on the 10 Commandments and then move on to other topics in religion.  Walk Two Moons is the novel we started today.  It is a story within a story and we will do most of our reading together in class, but students may need to reread to respond to questions at home.

Finally, Terri has entered all the grades that she has and I have entered all the grades that I have.  Please check teacherease. It is up to date as of today.  There are numerous no name papers on the board, as well.  The sooner we take care of this late stuff, the better!
