My name is Mrs Jasinski. I have been teaching at St. Roman parish School
for 12 years. I have taught Middle School Literature for the whole time and
teach 8th grade religion. I am an 8th grade homeroom teacher.
I went to Whitefish Bay High School. I received my BA in English and
Secondary Education from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wi. I have done
graduate studies at Cardinal Stritch University and Alverno College. I am a
life long learner.
My family belongs to St. Roman parish. I have 2 children. My son David is
a junior at Pius High School this year. My son Michael is in 7th
grade here at St. Romans. If you see him in the hall say hi! My favorite
things to do are walking, gardening, bike riding, watching sports(I love
football), shopping and no surprise reading. I guess that's why I became a
Literature teacher. I am so lucky, I get to do what I love.
In the summer I live in Amberg, Wi. It's 25 miles north of Crivitz. So if
you ever get to Amberg, just ask where the yellow house across from the
baseball diamond is. That's most likely where I'll be.
I am loooking forward to a wonderful school year. We will be reading
novels, poetry, stories, fables, folk tales and drama. After each unit that
we finish, there will be a closing activity and assessment designed to
enrich our readings and teach the skills that the students will need in high
school. Often, students will be given several choices and time in class
will be provided. Remember, suggestions are good, but this needs to be the
student's work. I invite all parents to stop by my classroom and see what
new adventures we are working on. In religion the 8th grade will be focused
on Church history. I really like this because my minor in college was
history. The world religion project will still be a requirement of 8th
grade religion. We will also spend some time on Holocaust education.
In my classroom the Code of Conduct will be adhered to including: Respect,
Responsibility and Reverence. For furthur details please refer to the
parent/student handbook.
I want all my students to develop into loving and kind Christian young men
and woman. I also want all of my students to develop a love of good
literature. Most of all I want them to be life long learners.
I know that this year will be a time of intellectual, spiritual and physical
growth for our students. With parents, teachers and students all working
together this will be a great year.
