Is BOOK-IT required?

Yes, students are required to read 250 pages or more per month
from October
through the end of March. Each student receives a pizza slip
from Pizza Hut
each month they reach their goal. This program strengthens
reading skills
and allows students to read books and magazines of their own
interest. We are trying to reach the goal of a final pizza party
in May. Please remind your child to read in any free time they
may have. Thanks!

Should I send a snack every day?

Please send a nutritious snack for your child to enjoy every day.
It
provides a burst of energy for them and keeps them going
throughout the
morning. I recommend not sending cookies, cupcakes, brownies or
candy as a snack, however this is fine as a birthday or SuperKid
treat. Just a reminder that we do have a student allergic to
peanuts and peanut butter in class. Thanks for your
understanding.
