Our class has been studying Martin Luther King, Jr.
The following are poems we have written using his ideas.


I am nice and brave.
I believe children should go to school together.
I wonder why the children can't play together.
I want the world to be kind.
I worry that someone gets hurt.
I cry when I get hurt.
I dream the laws will be fair.
I hope no one gets hit.
I am a preacher.

I worry that people don't listen to me.
I cry about almost getting hit.
I dream about giving a speech.
I hope I do good giving a speech.

I cry when people use their fists to hurt people.
