We focus on 1 poem (or song) in the Poetry Zone every week. We do a variety of activities with the poem each day. We may look for rhyming words, certain letters or sounds, punctuation, etc. Every Friday Poetry Journals come home with a completed poem page for that week added to the back. Have your child read his/her poem to you along with other poems that have accumulated in their folders. The children take great pride in sharing and reading! Encourage and praise your child's enthusiasm. ENJOY!
