I encourage the children to read to their parents every day. Reading is a
great way to learn for all ages. Children should read to their parents at
least twenty minutes per day. Parents should read to their children for at
least as many minutes. Please see "Why your child must read at home"
on the Ben Franklin home page.
Math home links will come home on most days. Each lesson has one home link
associated with it. Therefore, when a lesson takes more that one day, there
will not be a home link.
Most weeks there is one assignment for the students relating to a book that
was read or introduced in class. While it is important for these
assignments to be completed, I am looking for understanding of the text as
well as offering the students another strategy for reading comprehension.
These assignments are generally due the following school day.
