You will use these Internet sites to find information about the aquatic biomes. 
Read each site and take notes as you need to. The information found on these
sites will help you answer the questions for this project. 
I hope you enjoy learning more about these watery biomes!

This site introduces the term "ecotone" and then describes the following
aquatic habitats: running freshwater, standing freshwater, marshes and
estuaries, intertidal zone, subtidal, and oceanic.

Use the links on the left-hand side of this page to find out what a watershed
is, how a stream becomes a river, how dams work, and to learn about some river
creatures.
Rivers and Streams

This page has lots of information on fresh- and salt-water ecosystems. 
The page includes some information on estuaries.
Hydrosphere Basics

Use the links on the left-hand side of this page to study pond succession,
what lake effect snow is, algae, and pond plants and animals. You can also
learn about the Great Lakes and see how they look from space.
Ponds and Lakes

Use the links on the left-hand side of this page to learn about wetlands. You
will discover the importance of wetlands, how this ecosystem is being
threatened, and wetland animals.
Wetlands

The links on the left-hand side of this page will take you on a tour of rocky
shores, tide pools, sandy shores, barrier islands, salt marshes, estuaries,
mud flats, and mangrove forests! You will also learn about tides, waves, and
currents as well as the plants and animals who call this biome home.
Shorelines

Use the links of the left-hand side of the page to find out about temperate
oceans. You will learn about zonations, light zones, ocean animals, how the
ocean refreshes itself, and dolphin-safe tuna. 

How is a temperate ocean like a temperate forest? If you answer this question
in the Comments section of our Biomes blog, I will award you two extra points. :)

Here you will learn about coral reefs, threats to coral reefs, and animals
that live in tropical oceans.
