Process

Step 1:  Who to pick?

Look at a few different websites to decide who you like to research and 
become in a wax museum. Give a list of your top three choices to your 
teacher.  Ever person in the class needs to have a different famous Kansan.

Step 2:  The research begins…

After you have decided on a famous Kansan the research begins.  You now need 
to find as much information a you can about your person.  Remember you need 
to have a 2-3 min presentation. Use the Hotlist provided under the resource 
tab.

Step 3:  Time to create your presentation.  

This will be a speech that will explain who your famous Kansan is and what 
made them famous.  You could also choose another from of technology for your 
presentation to the class (PowerPoint, Publisher, Photo Story, etc.)

Step 4:  Create your wax figure.  

That is YOU!  Come up with and outfit your famous Kansan would have worn and 
maybe a prop (a hat, book, something to hold) that they might have needed or 
used.

Step 5:  Practice, Practice, Practice!

Practice what you will be presenting to the class/in the museum with you 
team members.

Step 6: Class Presentation and Museum Duties

It is now the time to present your famous Kansan to the class. Then it is 
Museum set up time!  Get into our positions the tourists will be coming soon!
