| Everybody knows that animals need food to eat, water to drink, air to
breathe, and a home to live in. Did you also know that animals need to have
a way to protect themselves from predators?
Did you ever think that an animal's environment might be its enemy, too?
Think about animals that live in very cold climates like Antartica and those
that survive in the scalding hot heat of the desert!
In this WebQuest, we are going to learn about animal adaptations. These are
ways that animals survive and meet their needs for food, air, water,
protection from enemies, and having a place to live.
On this journey into the world of animals you will become an animal
explorer. If you choose to accept this mission, you will select an animal
to research, learn about its adaptations and present your findings at the
