 Capital Punishment
Socrates was sentenced to death by poison. Hemlock caused a painful death. He could have avoided it by apologizing or by being ostracized. He would not leave the city that he loved so much. He told his followers that we all must die.... that Athens should give him free meals
for the rest of his life. The United States is one of the few nations in the world that have capital
punishment. Some states do not have it.

Freedom of Speech/Religion
There is nothing as precious as freedom
of religion and speech. People have fought and died to speak and worship with freedom.

This is the first amendment of the US Constitution
“ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
