How long have you been a teacher?

I have been a substitute teacher since September, 1982 to June, 2004. On 
August 19, 2004, I was offered a teaching position at Boonsboro Elementary 
in Washington County, Maryland, as a special education teacher. On August 
17, 2006, I was offered a teaching position at Bedington Elementary in 
Berkeley County, West Virginia, as a second grade teacher.This is where I am 
currently teaching.

What is your favorite grade and/or subject to teach?

There is something I like in all the grades I teach. I have subbed in 
preschool to grade 12. My favorite subject to teach is Math.

How long did you have to go to school to be a teacher?

I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh at 
Johnstown in Pennsylvania, which I completed in April of 1982. I completed 
my Masters in Special Education on January 23, 2004 at Frostburg State 
Unversity in Frostburg, Maryland.

Do you have children of your own?

I do not have children of my own. I am not married. I do have a Bubba. 
Bubba is my very spoiled cat.

Are you available for tutoring?

Yes, I am available for tutoring. I have been a homebound instructor in 
the past. Math and Reading are my specialities. I spent ten years as a 
volunteer for the Bedford County Literacy Council  tutoring adults in 
Reading and Math.

Do you like to play games on the computer?

Yes, I like to play games on the computer. My favorite is Literati, Yahoo's 
form of Scrabble. I play Literati to relax and meet new people from all over 
the world.

I like country music, especially Shania Twain.

Yes, I like to read. I like to read biographies and historical fiction. I, 
also, like to do embroidery work.
