Welcome to our school! Our mission is to educate the whole child. We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are just as important. Our students know that we have high expectations for them, and they strive to meet them. We welcome involvement from parents and the community.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

I will be entering my 4th year as Principal at Dorcas Elementary School. The three years I have spent at DES have been great!! I am proud to say we are a 2008 Title One Reading Distinguished School. This is largely due to the students and the staff at Dorcas. Our PTO is a huge part of our school success. They help fund many of our activities. The PTO continues to need support so please take time to help our school by getting involved with the PTO.
