Christmas Parties will be Thursday, January 7.
On 2 hour delay days--students should be at school by 9:45 AM if at all
possible!
FROM the Superintendent: Parents who request to have their children ride
buses other than the one they are scheduled to ride are required to have a
written request on file at the school signed by the parent. The bus operator
should also get a copy of this request so that they can have knowledge of the
request and determine if there is room on the bus. This should happen
because of insurance, safety, and security reasons. If any of the students
with permission to ride these buses are a continual discipline problem, then
the request should be revoked. Parents requesting permission should also
note that this is only possible as long as there is room on the bus being
requested for transportation. If at any time the bus becomes full, the
student(s) would lose the right to ride that bus. The same goes for any
student who is traveling outside of his or her attendance area via a request
from a parent. Parents should know that if they have children outside of
their attendance area, and the bus run is discontinued, the parents would
have to provide transportation to keep their children in that school. Helping
parents out is something we always want to do if it is possible. We all need
to be on the same page on this issue. Thank you in advance for your
assistance on this issue.
