Please encourage your child to use the links below for practice or enrichment. Also, please get make-up work completed as soon as possible.
Parents : Please remind your child that cell phones need to be turned off and kept in the locker during the school day!

Please check agenda each day for the daily assignments and/or long term assignments.
Wednesday folder will have graded papers, office memos, and notes from PTA. Papers will be stamped that need to be signed. Please do this and sign and return outside of folder on Friday.
I highly recommend nightly reading, which can be a comic book, newspaper, captions on TV or computer screen, or novel. Please try to encourage your child to read at least 15 minutes per evening.
Tests will usually be given on Thursday for reading and D.O.L. Spelling tests will be given on Friday. End of chapter tests in mathematics will be given when chapter is completed. Students will know about math at least 3 days in advance. Quizzes are given during the week to check on comprehension and the mastery of objectives.

The week of November 4 - 8 is "National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week" 5th is collecting donations for the Ohio County Animal Shelter for the entire week. Students from both 5th grade classrooms will be in front of school in the morning to collect the donated items. We will be delivering the items to the animal shelter on Friday, November 8. Everyone is invited to go to the Animal Shelter as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
