JUNE 2-5  NEWSLETTER
LAST NEWSLETTER!!!
I want to thank you for a great year!!!  I have truly enjoyed getting to know you and your wonderful children.  You have been a blessing to me this year.

Thank-you to Mrs. Wotring and other parents that helped with the scrapbooking.  The students have a great keepsake for 4th grade.

Thursday is the last day of school.  From 10:00-12:00 we will have Field Day.  Parents are invited to come and cheer on the children.
If weather permits, we will eat our lunch outside.  We may have to eat in the field or big rocks in the parking lot.  It would help if some students could bring a blanket or big beach towel to sit on.   Parents are invited to bring a lunch, also, and join us.

Students were given a 5th grade supply list this week.

May God Bless and protect you this summer,

Drivers are:   Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. ReVeal, Mrs. Wotring, Mr. and Mrs. Keyser, Mr and Mrs Hilgar, Mrs. Zagar, Mrs. Weaver.  We do activities in some small rooms so I would appreciate if NO SIBLINGS came along. Students must be able to hear the instructor.  I will need approx. 3 adults to help the instructor with the activities.  It may not be possible for ALL the chaperones to be in the room.

As you can see, we have PLENTY of drivers, so if any of the above do not want to go, we will be ok.  Otherwise, maybe we can have some parents ride with others.  I must know by tomorrow the final count.
Students do not bring backpacks to school that day.  Students must bring a sack lunch (include a drink).

We will be doing some walking, so please wear appropriate clothes and walking shoes.  Be sure to wear a rain jacket, or bring umbrella if it looks like rain.

CLASSROOM POETRY BOOK:  We are publishing a classroom poetry book. In today's folder there is an order form.  Please be sure to look at this and send back tomorrow with payment.  They will be delivered before school is out.  (hopefully)  Each child has 3 poems in the book.  It is a nice 4th grade keepsake.

It is going to be very difficult to plan for tests and quizzes this week.  Students will keep updates in their planner.  This week is  packed with extra activities.  (trips, trial, concert practices)
One thing we can work on is the state capitals.
WE WILL BEGIN THIS WEEK.  Students need to know the first 25.  They will locate and spell the state correctly (we already did this).  They do not  have to spell the capital correctly.  Students that are motivated, may make spelling the capitals correctly a goal this week.

Love

1If I speak in the tongues[ a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[ b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

BIBLE VERSE
13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to
indulge the sinful nature[a]; rather, serve one another in love. 14The
entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as
yourself."[b] 15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or
you will be destroyed by each other.
16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the
sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the
Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in
conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you
are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity
and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits
of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness,
orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like
this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things
there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the
sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit,
let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited,
provoking and envying each other.
