The message might be that you will understand more things in life by reading while you're still young.
what i like about his is that it almost acks up the saying that you can teach a old dog new tricks. P.s. first one yay!!!B'
I like what Erick said that was an auesome comment It is about having skills that you are good at and expierience your goals
I also agree with both eduardo and Erik they both had the same thing as i said! they both gave thier opinions and i luv giving opinions on both pictures and other forms of art/ literature.
I think that the picture in the new yorker magazine means that elderly people are having a hard time adapt to the modern world. For example you see allot of old people having a hard time working with the computers
I think that the image shown is trying to say that you need to look closer at things to understand them better.
I think the image represents what people of higher class (rich people)do for recreation (smoking).
The message might be that our generasion is to focused on material objects.
I i think the message is that our generation is more advanced in technology than others.........yeah lets go with that
What I found interesting about this image was what lay at each person's feet and what it tells about them. For example, one frazzled looking man is hurredly writing things down and on the ground is a pot of ink. This shows that he is not ready for the modern world. Another man sits near an apple. Maybe he will give it to the teacher. This would mean that the older generation has respect for the younger generation's smarts.
I can relate to the image because adults are always wondering what the text language stuff means...
this remings me of how my mom doesn't pay attention to what i say to her.
