Hooray!! We finally are able to solve the problems that we have been setting up for the past week.

Finish putting together your Hailstone Sequences project to hand in on Friday.

Problem of the Day:

Fifty-six biscuits are to be fed to ten pets: each pet is either a cat or a dog.  Each dog is to get six biscuits, and each cat is to get five.  How many dogs and how many cats are there?

There aren't any quadratic equations on homework tonight... Right?

Yes, there are...problems involving area (hint, hint) are usually quadratic in nature. Remember, since we haven't learned to solve quadratic equations yet, we use the table and the choices that the book gives us to substitute into the equation.
