  It won't work because 3( three boys) only go into 10.00 3 times so it would be 3R 1!

  This won't work because no multiples of three go can't go evenly into ten, if they were to split it up the would each have to pay $3.33.

  Each friend would pay $3.33 cents, but one friend would have to pay one cent more. This would not work because three does not go into $10.00 evenly, so Allen,Tom,and Lucas would could not split the meal evenly.

  this will not work because $10 cannot split evenly. the best way to split it up would be each friend pay $3.33 and the total would be $9.99 all together, and one friend would pay an extra penny

  This Won't work because you can't divide 10 evenly. if they wanted to split the meal money evenly since the meal was 10 dollars in order to split it evenly you would divide 10 by 3 but 3 doesn't go in evenly to 10 so not each person would be able to pay the same amount of money. so thats why it wouldn't work.

  If they could split the meal evenly then each friend would pay $3.33 because $3.33 + that 2 more times = $9.99. So one friend would have to pay the extra cent because 9.99 is not enough.

  If the 3 boys were to split the price of $10.00 evenly, it would come out to about 3.3. this will not work because you also have to include the tax, and the price they would have to pay goes on forever, (example) 3.3333333333333333333333333333333 etc.

  This will not work because you can't split ten dollars evenly if you divide it by three. If you wanted to be very close then you could have everybody pay three dollars and thirty three cents, and then one person would have to pay one cent more then everyone else.

  They shut pay $3.00 each, bus this will not work because then somebody needs to pay 1 more dollar, because $3*$3=$9 adn there are $10 yo pay.
