In the book "The Diamonds" a group of very popular girls take over the mock trial team at Bennington High School. These girls change the rules and regulations of the team so that each and every trial is changed so that the popular girls always win. When one of the four diamonds Marni, cheated on the ring leader, Clarissa's, ex boyfriend everything goes hay-wire for Marni. Throughout the book, Marni and many other people come togeether to fight to earn their rights back for themselves and the entire Bennington student body. I would highly recommend this book. Tales from Outer Suburbia is a collection of stories turning the quirks of neighborhood mysteries into whimsical stories that are always enjoyable. Each story presents a different outlook on a strange occurence to the reader. From a stranger in a diving suit, to growing your own pet (from the ground), this book is full of fun, interesting ideas. It puts a new spin on the occasional out of place events in our neighborhoods we see all the time. The pictures are just to illustrate the story, and make sure you know that the book is literal, and not metaphorical. The book might be somewhat boring at times to a younger reader due to somewhat higher vocabulary, so I wouldn't reccomend the book to anyone lower than 6th grade. I like it very much. All in all, the book is fun and interesting. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

The Arrival is an all illustrations book about a immigrant traveling through unknown cities. He is searching for a new home for his family. The book isn't very clear at first, and it may take a few minutes to understand. It is more scenery than plot, and the plot isn't clear until the midpoint or so. All in all, the pictures you in, whether the story makes sense to you or not. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a picture book. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone: The Odyssey of Flight 33 and Rod Serling's Twilight Zone: The Midnight Sun adapted by Mark Kneece are poor adaptions of the original television show. The Twilight Zone was a horror and science fiction show that aired in the 1960's and 70's. These graphic novel adaptions fail to capture the original emotion and suspense of the original . They also miss kew points or moments that the original had (for example, in The Odyssey of Flight 33, the pilots are never really suprised that they had traveled time). However, the books had excellent illustrations, so that's something. Overall, I would not recommend these books.
