Hi Pilgrims, Native Americans, Corn, and Turkeys-
Only two days until our show for your parents.  I hope you have learned a lot about the first Thanksgiving as we learned the poems and songs for the program.  Write and tell us how you felt about doing our program.  What was your favorite part?  Be sure to have a Happy Thanksgiving with your family!

    Love,
    Mrs. Zider

    Dear Boys and Girls-
Wasn't 50's Day a fabulous day?  That got me to wondering about what you have liked about our first 50 days of first grade.  Write and tell us what has been your favorite thing so far.  We can't wait to hear from you!

    Dear Boys and Girls,
I would like to give us a chance to write in our classroom blog and I thought Scarecrow Day would be a great beginning.  Let us know what you liked about the day.  Was it dressing up like a scarecrow?  Did you like the square dancing with me?  How about the haystack cookies or jokes with Mr. Bones? Corn patterns and poems and songs were fun as was writing the scarecrow story.  Last but not least did you enjoy making scarecrow hands?  Write and talk about the day.  Thanks to our fantastic parent helpers for making Scarecrow Day so special and fun!

    Dear Boys and Girls-
Be sure to tell mom and dad all the things we learned about America yesterday!  Madison said it best when she said we are turning a frown day upside down!  The way Americans stuck together after Sept. 11th and showed love for America was amazing.  Now Patriot Day is a reminder of how lucky we are living in a place like America with the choices and freedoms we have.  There will be a slide show on our Patriot Day once we have online permission slips back.  Have a great weekend...go outside and play!

    Dear Families-
I want to let you know how impressed I was that we had 100% attendance from all of you last Thursday night!  That is an all time record!  I am so thrilled to be partnering with you this year to make your child's first grade experience the best it can be!  Thanks for coming, listening, asking such good questions, and most of all for being the loving, supportive parents you are.  I am so glad to be working with all of you and your adorable children this year!
