Sorry I was at the cookie making thing tonight, the problem is 7 g/s= __kg/min

  • MrsGries

Hope you had fun..did you get to eat any of your hard work?

Okay, we need the conversion factor for grams to kilograms ( 1 kg = 1000 g) and then we need the conversion factor for sec to min (1 min = 60 sec) so we set it up like this....

    7 g/ 1 s (1 kg/1000 g)(60 sec/1 min) = (7)(1)(60) over (1)(1000)(1) which give 420/1000 or 0.42 kg/min.

Hope that helps. Sorry it's late. I was grading other tests. See me at SRB if you need any help.

Anyone who can help me! Do we do the whole 1-23 or the ones that u didnt give us the ansees to because i looked over the ones that you gave us the answers to to make sure i understood them. Thanks

    10/5/2009 7:38:47 PM
  • MrsGries

    Mark,
I want you to be able to understand and complete all of the numbers 1-23. There were three I wanted you to try to find the answers to first, but then use the answer key to make sure you are correct. I'm sure you are doing just fine.

i cant find my assignment notebook. Whats our homework for tonight?

Dear Mrs. Gries, I was just wondering if I could get a chance for enlightenment by showing you a proportion I found in the real world. In my family we base our privileges off of grades, and I received a 3.4 GPA on a 4.0 scale. My siblings go to memorial so they are on a 6.0 scale. To make it fair I have to convert my GPA to their GPA, so I set up a simple proportion. The easiest proportion is 3.4/4.0 X/6. So you multiply 3.4 by 6, divided by 4.0 to get 5.1. So if we still were on a six point scale I would have a 5.1 which is not too bad. Thank you,
    Jake

Mrs. Gries, I cannot connect to the online videos, so what should I do?

    10/20/2009 3:17:34 PM
  • MrsGries

Travis, what is it letting you get to on the site? What is the error it's giving you? Do you need to update a program to watch it?

Take a look under the screen where it says...having trouble viewing this video? and see if that helps.

If nothing works, pull up the textbook and read sec 3-6 again and right down the key points for and and or. You can watch the videos during SRH in the library or in my room.

Let me know what you can do. Thanks.

Mrs. Gries, I don't understand how to figure out number 31 on the back of the workbook page. can you help me?

    10/21/2009 3:00:01 PM
  • MrsGries

Logan...I don't know what you mean by can't figure out. You need to tell me what it is that you don't know how to set up or what it is that you struggle with.

Please give me more information so I can guide you, or come see me at SRB.

    Thanks.

what is our homework for tonight because i never got a sheet for the week and i forgot to ask

    10/29/2009 5:34:52 PM
  • Mark Folz

The textbook homework tonight has a problem- 3n is less than or equal to -6 - can you give me the answer because my answer was n is greater than or equal to -2 - apparently that is not a choice for the graph. Thanks

    10/29/2009 6:17:11 PM
  • MrsGries

Adam, your homework is over on the algebra tab under assignment sheet. Look for it and if you can't find it let me know.

    10/29/2009 7:50:02 PM
  • MrsGries

    Mark,

when you divide both sides by -3 the sign will flip (which you did) and the -6 will cancel out and become positive 2. There should be a graph for that.

Let me know if this helps.

What was our math homework for this weekend?

    11/8/2009 3:17:42 PM
  • MrsGries

    Mark,

You were to complete back of the linear equations worksheet you did on Thursday. Your homework is to graph the equations using the x-and y-intercepts. Set up the 0 table I showed you in class. Plug in 0 for x and solve for y, then plug in 0 for y and solve for x. Then plot those two points on the graph. You can skip #2 and the last question (I forget it's number).

I remember we are supposed to do numbers 8 through 13, 17 and 18 but on what? Was it a wkst?

    11/15/2009 4:10:25 PM
  • MrsGries

A wkst is abbreviation for WORKSHEET.
You are to complete the function notation worksheet that we started in class. You have already done the #1-7 earlier in the week.

Mark, Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. My computer was down. It is WS 4-6 on functions. We started it in class on Friday.

Jake, I tried to call you last night to talk you through the assignment, but the line was busy. Hopefully we can meet at SRB on Monday to look at it together.
