there are oxbow lakes (Ex. Lake Bruin), Depression lakes (Lake Pontchartrain), Raft lakes (Ex. Black Lake), and Coastal Lakes(Ex. Grand Lake). Hurricanes form over water and tornadoes form over land. we have a humid subtropical climate, our birth rate is dropping, and our population is aging.

    1. Hurricanes and tornados are formed through an exchange of warm, humid air and cold, unstable air between the upper and lower atmosphere.
They are categorized based on damage to dwellings due to wind speeds and storm surge heights.
2.Louisiana's climate is humid, semi-tropical throughout the year. Louisiana's population is diverse. It includes original Indian people, plus descendants of a variety of settlers which include French, Spanish, English, German, Acadians, West Indians, Africans, Irish and Italians. Almost every nationality known.
    3. Types of lakes found in Louisiana include oxbow and backwater lakes. Some examples of this type of lake are Lakes Providence, St. Joe, and St. John. Another type of lake is a reservoir. Toledo Bend is the biggest reservoir in the state and the best bass fishing. Also, fresh water marshes are a type of water found in Louisiana. Somes marshes include the Pearl River, the Sabine River, and the Laassine.

Oxbow is one type of lake. An example is False River. Another type is depression lake of which Lake Ponchartrain is an example. There are coastal lakes too. Grand Lake is an example of this type. Tornadoes form over land from thunderstorms. Tornadoes are categorized 1-5 on Fujita scale. Hurricanes form over water and are categorized 10-5 on the Saffire Simson scale. Louisiana has a humid, subtropical climate. There are 103 people per scale mile. My hurricane experiences include evacuating. When we returned sometimes there is no electricity and we had to us a generator. I would tell people if a hurricane is coming evacuaye and be ready to maybe not have electricity when you return.
