Chapter 4 - Louisiana Native Americans

What have you learned about the Native Americans in Louisiana? What are some vocabulary words and their meanings that you find interesting? Compare and Contrast two Native American Tribes. What did the people from the Neo Time Period learn from the Paleo Time Period? How do you think Native Americans shaped our history?

    i think animism is interesting because its the belief EVERYTHING, not just animals, has a spirit

    I have learned that hunting was important for food and clothing. Shamans were priests or holy men. Neo means new or different.Totems were sacred symbols of the times. Hopewell and Marksville established a complex trading system, buried artifacts with their dead, built large mounds, and had powerful governments. Natchez tribe had a complex class system and worshipped the sun.Neos learned how to make clothing and baskets from Paleo Time Period.
