  I like The Well. It is a lot longer then the others. I like it because David is a little rude to the white peoplebut not really rude, like Hammer. David in the books from Cassie's prospective is more like Hammer then what he was like when he was a kid.

  I thought it was good that Carolin(I think that is her name) was doing a good thing when she came out and said "don't you do that" "don't you do that" when mama was whipping Hammer and Cassie.

  cha, Ma Rachel came out and told "Mama not to do that." And that was Hammer and David who were getting whipped. Cassie is David's daughter and David is still a child in the story, "The Well."
  
  I know it is hard to keep the two books straight since they are about two different generations.

  I'm sad that they Logan boys are working for the Simms. I am surprised Mama didn't make David stay home cause he didn't do any thing.
  All of you are saying it is good that Charlie DIDN'T die. I think it is bad that he didn't die, If he died no one would know that the Logan boys did it. Cause they wouldn't tell neither would Charlie(cause he would be dead). But since he lived Charlie would be able to tell his father and the police.
