In the past week both the 6th graders and 8th graders have learned about the Make A Difference Challenge aka The Starfish Challenge. The 7th graders will have their kick-off soon.  We are all curious which grade will get the most starfish up before 2008. Who do you think it might be?

In addition to the babysitting opportunity during the Coalition Auction (see my blog entry for Volunteer Opportunities) on November 21st, the organizers of the Angel Run have come up with some great ways students can help out during the event.  See Ms. Allen for sign-ups and more information.

I found this video and wanted to share it. You can't help but smile. You may even find yourself doing the gratitude dance wherever you are.

This blog will be used to post ideas and volunteer opportunities for students as they look to fulfill the challenge. I also hope to provide positive feedback and stories from the kids and staff and project leaders.
Calling all babysitters.  Volunteers are needed to babysit for families attending this year's Coalition Auction on the evening of November 21st.  We have hundreds of families who will need some help that evening. We're asking that all willing and available babysitters donate their time, and their normal babysitting fee would go directly to the Coalition. If your student is interested in participating and has your permission to do so, please email me with your student's name and your contact number.
