I think that it is kind of scary that someone might have a key, and I think it is really creepy that whoever the burglar is could have seen Mr. Van Daan. The burglar might even realize that people are hiding out there now.
Q:What do you think of the burglary incident Anne describes in her last entry? A:I agree with Thomas and think the burglar knows that the people are hiding themselves. I even think it was the burglar who told the secret about that they were living there and thats how they got captured.
It would be really scary to have a burgaler in your house when your hiding.it is scary that the burglar could be a spy for the Gestapo. He could tell them that there are Jews in hiding here and need to be in camp. thank goodness the burglar didnt see anyone or that would have been the end for the families in hiding.
Q:What kind of writing is Anne doing lately? Is she writing more about a particular topic?
I think it's very mysterious that someone could actully gone inside the office building. LIke Thomas said, the burglar could have seen Mr. Van Dann. With that, the burglar could even gain more money by reporting them to the police. Maybe that guy got the Franks caught.
I think it is pretty scary that a burglar has a skeleton key that would open the door to building and that he could come back to steal more things. Also, it could be dangerous that the burglar knew from hearing and possibly seeing Mr. Van Daan, that someone was living or hiding in the building. If the thief thought that Mr. Van Daan was a Jew in hiding, he could turn in the people in the annex.
I think that if i were Anne I would be scared and helpless if I knew someone had the key to my secret hiding place and that the burglar could have seen someone hiding in the Annexe because if he found out that anyone was hiding there their lives would be at a major risk and knowing that I would be scared to death!!!
I think anne and the people living with her will get caught because the burgular took the portfolio and a key so I think they might get caught
I was surprised that the burgular didn't think of anything suspicious that a person came downstairs (the upstairs is secret) and was walking around the house. The burgular might come back again and spy/ discover the Annex (probably not any time soon though, because the Annex members would get caught and sent to a concentration camp and Anne's diary would end, but we're only on page 150-162 and Anne's diary keeps going until page 200 something).
on Wednesday, 1 March, 1944, was the robber who broke into Kraler's office the same robber that broke in seven months earlier, and does he know about the Frank's hiding place?
Daniel Q: What kind of writing is Anne doing lately? Is she writing more about a particular topic? A: Anne's writing shows a lot of introspection. She continually thinks about Peter and reflects on what he thinks about her. She becomes so emmotional thinking about Peter that she feels tears comming and has to hurry to the lavatory.
I think that they will get found because as Chris sayed they took the portfolio and a key
I think that this incident was very unsettling for Anne because the burglar could have been one of the warehousemen and that would make him a traitor among them. Also, he could have heard someone overhead in the secret annex and if he did he might give them away to the Nazis.
It sounds a little scary. I agree with Chris, maybe this burgler will tell the government about his suspicions about Jews probably living there.
