Anne's most prized possession is her fountain pen. She writes a whole diary entry dedicated to her pen, to remember it. What happens is that she has to bean rub when her pen falls into the pile of beans and melts in the stove. Something in my own life I would want to remember in this way is my grandfather. He died in third grade, and I regret that I didn't know him very well, as he was in China most of the time. I do remember him by submitting two poems about his death, and both got accepted out of million of entries in the contest. Another way is writing Chinese with actual brushes and ink, as all the Chinese writing supplies in my house are his, given to us when he visited us. Now, when I write, poems or Chinese, I always think about him.

I'd love to blog, but I can't. I'm not a fast reader and therefore am about 8 pages behind. But don't worry!! I will catch up.... eventually.

In this section, Anne finds out that her fountain pen acidentally fell into the furnace while she was throwing the bad beans into it. To remember it, she rights an ode to it in her diary, on pages 115-117. In mym own life, I will remember my grandmother, whom passed away about two months ago. I was really close to her, and I will always miss her.

I also think the fountain pen is her most prized possession because she had it for so long and she also got another case for it which shows she loves it so much.

PS: What is a fountain pen anyway???

Anne often refers to "Mansa". Is this a nickname for a member of the Annexe?

The word ode is a noun that is a poem intended to be sung. Ode to Joy or Syphony #9 was composed by Ludwig van Beethoven when he was almost completly deaf. It incorperates part of a poem by Friedrich Shiller called Ode to Joy in English.

I agree with Alicia ,Anne's most prized possession is her fountain pen. She used it throughout her whole life. Anne write an ode to remember it. I already have remembered something in my life this way. when i was in fourth grade my grandfather pasted away. he lived in Holland, so we had to fly there to be able to attend his funeral. i wrote a poem in his honor.

diphtheria (i know this out of my head because of the quiz) is a disease of the upper respiratory system that is possible fatal.

An ode i a serious poem written in honor of someone or something.

Anne loses her most prized possesion, her fountain pen. To remember her fountain pen Anne titles one of her entries ode to my fountain pen, in memoriam. I would like to remember my dog and pets in this way, so I can always think of them and know that they are in a happy place.

Will Anne get another fountain pen?

Anne's most prized possession is her fountain pen. She writes a diary entry explaining it as though it were a memorial. I feel really bad that her prized possession was burned, her favorite thing, what she used everyday for almost everything. I cannot think of something I would react if I lost it( not including people).

Q: WITH ALL THIS TIME ON HER HANDS, WHY DOESN'T ANNE WRITE A LOT? WHAT DOES SHE DO DURING THE REST OF THE DAY BESIDES SCHOOL WORK?

    I would write a lot!!

Anne, on page 126-127 explains that she is scared for her friend Lies. She says that once the war is over and if Lies survives that she wishes that God will bring her to them( the people in the annex). At first I was just wondering why she is so assured that she and the other in the Annex are going to be safe but, then I read and she explains that she always talks about after the war, something she shouldn't be.

This is going to sound kind of weird, but it is true. Something I want to remember in my life is my three brothers. I have no sisters but a 16, 14, and 9 year old brothers. While sometimes they can get on my nerves, they can also be really cool. Sam, my oldest brother is on cross-country and he is really good. Watching his meets is really fun especially this year because he was on varsity and made it to the state championships. Matt just completed his first year of cross-country and was also pretty good. We all think my little brother Ben is so cool as he looks up to Sam and Matt. I know that they can all be really annoying and pick on me sometimes (I mean A LOT) but I know I would miss them if I lost them and I will definitley miss Sam when he goes to college in about 2 years. I also know I am really lucky to have them!!!:-)

Anne's most prized possesion is her fountain pen. What she does to remember the fountain pen is she dedicates an entire diary entry to the fountain pen. Something that I would like to remember like that is my dog Wally. I will miss him greet me when I get home from a bad day of school and he cheers me up with his outgoing atitude.(he is still alive.)

In this section Anne lost her most prized possesion, her special fountain pen. To remember it she writes a whole diary entry her special fountain pen. When I was four years old I had one favorite book that I read every night and I lost it at my preschool.

In this section, Anne's fountain pen is her most prized possesion. She has used it for a long time to write. Sadly, her pen got burned. I feel bad for Anne, because she really liked the pen. I would feel horrible if I lost my prized possesions.

Anne's most prized possesion (that she lost) is her fountain pen. She writes a whole diary entry just about her fountain pen and titles it "ODE TO MY FOUNTAIN PEN IN MEMORIAM". Anne writes about her pen's life (her life with her pen) and about how she lost it. She got her pen when she was nine and had the flu. Then, Anne went through different years in school where she could or couldn't use her pen. She also wrote in her diary with it. Anne is now fourteeen, and has lost her pen (she is very sad). Her father and sister thought that she accidentally burned it, so Anne has no choice but to accept the fact that her pen is gone (and probably creamated).

I have a blanket that I have had since I was two, and I would probably remember it the way Anne remembered her pen....but cry every night beacause I couldn't imagine not having it.

I just wanted to say that today's lesson, the one where you unwrap the meaning of figurative language was interesting and that I liked it. Now I feel that I can figure out the meanings of things that other wise I wouldn't have known.

Anne's most prized possession is her fountain pen. She is upset enough to write an entire diary entry dedicated to the "life of her pen"titled Ode To My Fountain Pen. She refers to it as a priceless possession. I have a dog named Kenai, and if I ever lost him I would be so sad because he is special and "one of a kind".

Why is Anne so sad about losing her pen? I know she had it for a long time, but it's just a pen!

Anne's most pride possession is the fountain
pen. to signify the lost she wrote a diary entry and the story of how she got it and the story of it. When I was little I lost a Buzz Lightyear toy. It was my favorite thing.

I think Anne reads books. In the book I remember her getting in trouble for reading books and liking other books.

Thanks so much Elizabeth, but it's not hard. My sister got to the top 6 one year!
    Caleb,
A fountain ben is like a ball point ben but you hav eto watch how you write or part of what you write is very inky and you can't see the other half ot eh letters. (I'm just guessing on this one. I'm not sure how you write with a fountain pen!)
