    Dear Joey,
Hi! Guess what? I went to Scarps Pet Shop and I got a new pet lizard. His name is Bima. I also got a two-wheeler Speedster bike.I was so excited!I'm a little afraid to ride it with the bike derby coming up. I also got a G.I. Jim Army Command Center like the one I saw on T.V. There's a Bully named Bobby at the Derby who really scares me.He's a pretty good racer. When Bobby raced in the event "Stop and Go" he came in first place. After that, his brother's bike broke. One of kids in the croud said,"Bobby, looks like you need a new bike!" Now this was my chance. It was finally my turn to ride the obstacle course.I have to go now. If you want to know if I won the race, read the book The Lucky Lizard to see the ending. Your friend, Todd

    Dear Peter,

How are you? I'm sorry I haven't had time to hang out with you lately. What have you been doing?
I have had a lot going on in my life. A while ago, I was playing football in my backyard with my sister and my grandpa when Grandpa told me a story. He told me about when he started a six-man football team. I thought it was a great idea. So, I got a bunch of my friends together and we started our own football team. My grandpa even agreed to be the coach. I thought it would be a great idea for another kid named Jimmy to be the quarterback. That was until we saw that my grandpa and Jimm's grandpa are enemies because of a football game from when they played together! To find out more about my life, read Long Arm Quarterback by Matt Christopher.
I hope we can get together soon. TTYL!

    Dear Claire,

I still don't have a band to play at Kimberly's party on Saturday night! I think that my borther Edward is coming to the party with me. In addition, my mom and dad have decided to be chaperones. Speaking of things that are horrible, my mom just bought me a new YELLOW dress. Can't she see that everything in my wardrobe is yellow. This is going to be the worst party ever! I have to figure something out, and quickly too. You can read more about me in Never Mind by Rachel Vail. ttyl :(

    Dear Kelsea,
I've just moved to Franklin Grove Middle School and its been really tough. Mostly everyone at the school is goth. There's this one girl that keeps looking at me weird. Then one day she grabs me and pulls me into the bath room. We look behind all the make up and eye-liner and figure out that we are twin sisters that were separated at birth! That day after school we went to lunch and decided that we would switch places and fool people. The next day while I was Ivy I bumped into the boy she liked and he asked Ivy (me) on a date and said yes. When I told Ivy she screamed and said that if I wanted her to go I would have to go to a meeting with all of her goth friends. After the meeting I told Ivy that she was the head of the planing committee she said she wouldn't do it unless I went for her on Fridays. I said okay as long as she went to cheer leading practices for me. She agreed and was fine with me teaching her some cheers and getting her ready after school. One practice we were doing back flips an round offs. Ivy decided to show off and did an extra one but instead of the ground she landed in a thorn bush and cut her arm. I saw the cut and bent to go grab a wet towel but when i came back it was gone. Ivy stuttered and told me the truth. If u want 2 kno the secret and cum w/ me on the rest of my journey then read the book My Sister the Vampire, Switched by Sienna Mercer.

    Love,
    Olivia Albbot

    Dear Megan,
Life in middle school is not what it seems! Bullies lurking through the halls, having an older brother who's a pain... sure makes your life sound easy! Luckily, my dear pal Rowley helps me out (at sometimes.) I hope everything goes okay this year. I can't tell you how many times my brother Rodrick has pranked me throughout the summer. Hope to see u soon! Ttyl!

    Dear Jennie:

My life has been weird here on Pine Street. One day when I came to school, Mrs. Swartz, my sixth grade teacher was not there. Instead, Mr. Smith was there for the rest of the year. That is when my nightmare started. I discovered that he hates music, even tough everybody on the school band, was really, good. I became suspicious, so I decided to check out his house.

I went in his house, and saw him looking in the mirror, and a creepy music started playing. That is when it happened! He put his fingers under his eyes, ran them to his ears, and started pulling off his face. He was really an Alien! His name was Broxholm because I heard him say, “Broxholm reporting”. I also heard him say that he needed five children to run experiments on. Weird things started to happen, the good kids started to act up, and the bad kids started to behave. Weird ah!

Later that night, we were about to go on stage. I was playing my piccolo to make Mr. Smith mad. Then some kids were playing the trumpets. They were playing good, but Mr. Smith asked them to stop. The music teacher told the children to keep playing, and this made Mr. Smith coward in a corner, and said: “I do anything to make you stop”

One kid stopped playing the trumpet and demanded to Mr. Smith to take off his mask. He took his mask off in front of everybody. If you want to know what happens next, read more at My Teacher is an Alien by Bruce Coville.

    Dear Megan,
You don't want to know about my summer or my new classes at school. Well, it wasn't horrible, but it was still bad.
We didn't even go on a trip this year because my Dad made me join swim team. No one told me the starting gun at swim meets were full of powder, I jumped into the pool and sat at the bottom, thinking I was going to get shot.
Then, my best friend Rowley, went on a trip somewhere without me but I don't care. Ok, maybe I do care but just a litte.

When we got back to school, we took a test to see what job we would get when we got older. I hated my dumb job, so I won't even tell you what I am supposed to do in my career.

The worst part about the beginning of the school year was my brother Rodrick had a huge party and locked me in the basement. So as you can see this school year has been pretty bad so far for me.

Well, thanks for listening. If you want to read more, look for "Diary of a Whimpy Kid 2, Rodrick Rules."

    TTYL!

    Greg

    Dear Drew,
You wouldn't believe the summer vacation I have had. Just two weeks ago I was shot by a sniper who was paid to kill me. But here I am, still alive. That's because I work for M16, the British Intelligence Agency. At my age of fourteen, I am the youngest spy in the world. I'm on another mission for M16. It will be my toughest mission yet. That's because I am going against the biggest criminal clan in the world. You will have to read the book, called Snakehead, to find out the rest.

    Dear Mrs.Komondor,
My parents just died from a terrible accident. Now, me and my sister have to go live in Camden Falls with my grandmother, Min. My next door neighbor, Olivia is in my grade at my new school which I will be starting this fall. Since Min works and owns a store, "Needle and Thread" I am there a lot during the summer. The bright side about that is I love to sew and since it is mostly a sewing store, Min lets me put some of my work on display. Olivia's grandma helps Min run the store. Olivia comes to help. She, my sister, and I play together sometimes when our grandmas don't need our help. If you want to find out more about me, read "Welcome to Camden Falls" by: Anne Martin.

But, I didn't want to learn how. That night I heard music. I tracked it down And it took me to the foot of a king. I met a prinsess and she picked me up and told me her name was Pea. My brother saw me and told my dad. My dad called the mouse councle. If you whant to know what happend to me after I got in trouble.

    Dear Timmy,

I am still all alone on this island in Alaska. I can’t believe that they sent me to this island for a year as punishment for beating up Alex Driscal. I am waiting to see what will be dropped off next because I burned all of my supplies and my cabin when I got here. I was mad and thought that I would try to hurt them by showing them that I don’t need anything. Now I wish I had them. They usually leave me food or something like a pocket knife. I didn’t really mind being in the wilderness alone too much but then I started to think that I was seeing things. There was a white bear that I kept seeing and it started to freak me out. I tried to scare the bear away but it wasn’t afraid of me. I tried to get away from it and the island by building a canoe but I couldn’t escape. Once, I touched the spirit bear but it just disappeared into thin air. I thought I was going crazy but then it attacked me. I am injured and may not live.

    Dear Ryan R,

You know that my parents are divorced and my dog Bandit went with my dad. My friend Barry and I were running on the beach and we found a dog. We named him Strider because he runs very fast. Barry and I said that we would share the dog by Barry is going to be going away for a month to visit his real mom. Barry told me that I could have Strider for a month to myself and then when he got back we would share him again. When my mom got home, I told her about Strider and she thought it would be ok for us to share Strider. Barry’s mom felt the same was as mine, but we haven’t told our landlord our plan yet. Strider got his shots and is 3 years old. Barry and I built a stand for Strider to eat his food while sitting up-right. We also taught Strider to read 2 words. They were sit and stay. The day before Barry left he invited me to eat with him and his family. They had spaghetti and meatballs. I had fun with his sisters decorating a wall in the kitchen with spaghetti. After Barry left I taught Strider how to find golf balls by accident. Then I sold them and made some extra money. I really enjoy having a dog named Strider as a pet.

    Dear Mrs. Komondor,
My life has been crazy since I was left on the Dursley's doorstep. I have been suffering the painful and cruel treatment from them for eleven years. Luckily, I got away from them! Now that I am attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I have amazing new friends and an excellent new life. The only things that continue to haunt me are the return of Voldemort, Professor Snape, and Professor Quirrel. They are giving me the creeps big time. Luckily, my two best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger are by my side. This kid in the Slytherin house named Draco Malfoy has big time problems. He thinks that he is all that and so amazing. Don't you hate people like that? He is so evil and jealous. Boy, am I glad that I am not in the Slytherin house! I am very glad that I am in Gryffindor with my good friends. Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin all scare me!
Quidditch is going well, I suppose. I am the Seaker, which is pretty much the hardest job on the team. I have to look for the tiny Golden Snitch. It flies around your face, making you very dizzy!
Hermione, Ron, and I have to make a HUGE decision! We are thinking about going down to the trapdoor on the third corridor, where the three headed dog named Fluffy is. Now that we know about the Sorcerer's Stone from Hagrid, a giant who is the keeper of keys and games at Hogwarts, we are determined to find it!
I have to go now. I love writing to you! To find more information about me, read "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K. Rowling. TTYL :)
    Your Friend,
    Harry Potter
