In the summer, I love books that I can "sail" through and that are fun to read. Some of the good vacation books that I would recommend are:
Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz, a tale of adventure in which young Alex is pulled into a world of espionage and danger. It has an exciting plot line as Alex gets mixed up with some nasty scrapes and sinister villains.
13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson, a funny book filled with interesting characters and the mystery of a sort of treasure hunt as Ginny follows clues around while backpacking in Europe. What a fun book to read!
24 Girls in 7 Days, by Alex Bradley 17 year old Jack's love life is in quite a sad state and he's having trouble finding a date for the prom until his best friends jump in with a scheme to take care of all that. Before you know it, Jack is flooded with offers and he has to decide WHICH girl to go with in the funny, madcap story.
Twilight by Stpehenie Meyer If you haven't read this offbeat tale of romance and the supernatural, then summer is the perfect time to pick it up. The strong characters, authentic teenagers, the building of a relationship unlike any other and the often suspenseful plot drive this story and have made it a favorite with so many readers...including me!

What’s another good summer reading book?
    Ms. Mauger

The only one of those books that I have read is Stormbreaker. I love adventure and mystery and Horowitz gives you both; to the extent that you don't want to put the book down until you're done.

I love summer to have free reading time- pick up what I want, when I want. My summer reading, list keeps growing. Some of my first are the Dan Gutman series and Lunch Money by Andrew Clements. I would love to hear from some readers who have read either - any thoughts???????

I like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. Really good! Really realistic!
