  I baught all of my children and book for christmas that has flash cards to go with it. I challenged them to learn all of the words and I also told them to show thier families and friends how smart thier are by telling them about the letters and sounds they know. They really like a "challenge". :)

  We motivated and encouraged students to read the novel Tale of Despereaux in class by scheduling a "meet at the movies" date to see the movie together as a grade level over the holidays!
