  I made a connection with Ling Sung when he couldn't button his coat. When I was in preschool, the teacher always had to help me button my coat.

  I felt bad for Ling Sung because he couldnt do everything that the other kids could do. I had a connection with Ling sung because one time I couldnt tie my shoes either. I learned that if I practice something I can learn how to do new things.

  Ling Sung could not do anything like the other kids and suddenly he picked up two paintbrushes and he could use them like chopsticks. The other kids could not use the chopsticks like he could. They tried to use them like Ling Sung but they kept dropping the cookie. We should always try to help others learn new things.

  Another character in the book painted her name nicely in colors. I like to do that with my name when I paint on a rainy day.

  I related to Ling Sung not being able to do things the others kids could do. I could not tie my shoes when all the others kids could, but when I did learn how everyone was very proud of me.

  I can't paint very well, but I would like to learn. Maybe I can learn from the other kids in the class.
