they change because they are closer together now and they both work at the same place that improves their relationship between them because they are closer together
When she said there was a deep river she ment there are to diffrent sides of mexco and where are each on diffrent sides.
That they are totally different. But since the moved to California they are practly the same.
What it means is that they were on diffrent side of the river. like the river is spliting them apart.They are diffrent races in a way.
In Mexico Miguel was just a servant but, in America they are equal . they will try to work together.
esperonza means that there is so many things different beetwen miguel and here.it does stay the same in california and.
Folling on to Hannah R. Esperanza and Miguel where nothing alike.In Mexico Miguel used to be a servant for Esperanza's family but now that her father has past away and they are poor Miguel is no longer a servent.Lucky for Mama and Espranza they get to go to the U.S. with Miguel and Alfonzo.
When she says that a river runs between them she means that they would not be grouped together.It changed because now they live off each other and are grouped together and their friendship has gotten a little stronger.
It means that they like eachother but they just cant connect.It is hard for them to be together.It does change in California because now they will work together in the same camp. Now they can finally connect in California.
A river between us means they will never be to gether,and there are not many thigs that we both like. And that does change when they get to Califuna because Esperonza is not rich and I think she is starting to like Miguel so that means there is no river between them eny more.
When she said there is a deep river that runs between us she mean that there was no change of them to like each other. But now that she is not rich and she is like him she is acting like she likes him
When they arrive at the border they under go alot of stressful situations that require there patients and strength.
When Esperanza uses that expression in the story she means theres a difference in there lives. They where both different people because Miguel is a servant and Esperanza is the daughter of a wealthy rancher. Now that Esperanza has experienced poverty she can relate to Miguel and learn to be a little more humble.
