the police man gives them a mean look. they do that beacause they want the people who dont have paper work to act serios
They have to go through all the paper work. They also have to sit on a train for hours and hours.
When they crossed the border she thinks that they will have to go back because the don't have the right papers
When the family arrives at the border they go up to this long line and when it is there turn they give there pappers to this snotty man and he asks Esperanza why she is coming to the U.S.Then her mama goes up and says that they are here to work.Then the man lets them by and they bord the train but Alfanzo and Migel are not on the train because the are watering the box.They made the train just in time.
when there family arrives at the border esperonza says tghe man is snobby and he askes why they are in the United States nad momma says they are here to work and then they board the train and meet the chiken lady.
The man that is waiting checks their papers and tells them they can go.Finnally they arrive and meet their friends.
They wait a long time to get their papers checked. They all got in. But Miguel and Alfonzo allmost did not catch the ride.
The conductor checks there papers and tells them that they can go.Now they can get off
When they arrived,they had to pass immagration and board a train to the farms.Then they met the family that were to pick them up.
The police give them a mean look like Jamie said. also I thought that they wernt going to be able get on the train but I gess I was rong.
the Mama almost gets in a fight with person checking there papers. Alfonzo and Miguel nearly miss the train to America.
The man checking papers gave them a mean look.And he said "were are you going and what are you going to do!" in a anry voice.They said Calafora and we are going to work in fields.There he looked them up and down and he said ok go.
When the familey gets to the border Esperonza is sacard that they or Migel dont have the right papper worke. Then she was wored that Migle would not make it on the train.
When Esperanza arrives at the border with her family she has to pass an immagation test and she past it but when she got on the train she figured out that it was a peasant train and she couldn't understand why she got on a peasant train if shewasnt a peasn't but she really is because she now has know money because it is all in her uncles bank and her uncle wont give it to her.Esperanza also has to understand that now she is not the rich girl that has servant that do everything for her because she now is one and she is now verry confused.
Thev guard gives him a mean look because he thinks the papers arent apporved. But Esperenza's mother was bold and made the guard look through the papers and approve.
