I agree completeley with Jamie on his comment.
Brian's not a "city boy" anymore. He is actually learning to face the wild with (once again) his Hatchet.

it has changed brians life permanently because he now has to catch his own food, provide his own shelter and protect himself. So that mean he cant sit around lazy everyday and wait for his mom or his dad to bring him food because they are not there

Now Brian isnt a city boy. He wont be able to relate to the city now that he has been there in the woods for such a long time. I also like what Carter said about Brian.

I believe Brian was forced to learn how to survive on his own and to relie on himself and to take on a great responsibility."Life" and "Mistakes".

Brian is so uesd to the woods that he feels that that is his hole life. In the end of the story, he says that when he saw his friends thay where talking about stuf like going to the movies. Insted he went to the park and started to think about how he missed the woods.
