    Dear Curious Orchestra Students:

As promised, here are the details of the wedding...

It was extremely cold and rainy in the foothills of Rutherford County, NC (look for it on a map). I was hoping for snow, but the rain prevailed. Luckily, it stopped before the wedding and didn't start again until AFTER we left the reception!

    I had FIVE bridesmaids:
Maid of Honor: my little sister
    My 2 new sister-in-laws!
My best friend from High School
My best friend from College (she is also a FABULOUS cellist)!
All the bridesmaids wore long black dresses, and carried candlelit lanterns. My sister, the MOH, carried a small bouquet that matched mine. I was determined to not have a flame that close to my wedding dress. I'd be on America's Funniest Home Videos next month. My bouquet was full of white lilies and white roses! There was more red, white, and green in the church than I'd ever seen! It was so beautiful!

The groomsmen wore tuxedos with red vests and ties. My husband's vest and tie was white (to match me!).

Hopefully my husband, the computer genius, will get the video up on-line soon. Then you can actually WATCH our wedding!

The reception was the most beautiful part of it all! My mother decorated with light blues and snowflakes. The lights were dim, and soft Frank Sinatra songs were playing in the background. Everyone sat down to a sit-down Christmas dinner and enjoyed the large company of friends and family!

Also as promised, here are some of the proofs from my bridal shooting. (YES, I did wear the red heels during the wedding.)

Hope you all are having a great holiday! Don't forget to play a little for your family over the break! Keep practicing!

    Musically yours,
    Mrs. Colson

    To the orchestra students:

Great job on two great concerts! I'm very proud of both schools. Pending on principle approval from both schools, we may have a combined concert for our next concert! (Bigger emsembles=less nervousness) Over Christmas break remember to PRACTICE! You loose it if you don't use it. Practice scales, excerpts from the books, or practice your all-county music (7th grade). I'll have a suggested list on the homework page. Stay posted for updates after Christmas. I'll try to be good and let you all know wedding details!

    For those posting comments:
Thank you! But if you comment, try commenting on the blog you just read...

    Musically yours,
Ms. Roberts (Mrs. Colson in 4 days)
