We had a super last few days of school. Breakfast with parents, the now infamous “Dr. E’s Awesome Third Graders” DVD, students awards, cleaning up the classroom and popsicles made the last day special. I want to thank students and parents once again for my wonderful gifts and positive comments. I am fortunate to be able to work in a career I love.
As I finalized classroom cleaning on Thursday in the quietness of the morning, I realized how much I already missed my students! The room now sits with all furniture on one side, blank walls, and stuffed cubbies with books just waiting for new third graders to arrive in August.
Congrats to the students who earned the most 100 dollar bills over the course of the year. They will be receiving free movie passes in the mail in the next week. I was really pleased with the number of 100 dollar bills packed into the jar!
My advice hasn’t changed….read, read, read, write, write, write, and keep those multiplication facts fresh in your head this summer.
Any student can write a BLOG about what they are doing over the summer, especially if they include a book review, and e-mail it to me (selrod@wcpss.net) and I’ll post it on the BLOG page. Your friends will be able to keep tabs on what you’re doing over the summer.
It’s time for me to get this posted…….thanks again to all for a fantastic year !!!
