Is it OK for my kids who are 10 and 12 to use Head & Shoulders/Pert Plus (Dandruff) shampoo and Men's Body wash such as Sauve for Men.

    Thanks.

I recommend during health and hygiene lessons that students refrain from using "salon" type shampoos that are sold in the expensive areas of the supermarkets, salons, and beauty supply shops. Besides being way too pricey, these products have additives that make adult hair silky, shiny and manageable. While these traits are often good, some research suggests that those additives may be harmful to pre-pubescent children and have been associated with early onset puberty.

I recommend that students stick with the less formulated, less expensive brands of shampoos such as Suave, VO5, Dial soap, Lever 2000, etc. I hope this helps, let me know if you need any more information.

    Take Care!
