• I just planted my seeds. (I got sidetracked with summer starting!!) I can't wait for them to grow! Mrs. B., I put mine in a flower pot. It's pretty big. Will it still work!?!?

  It will work for a while, Emma. You will have to transplant the seedlings into the ground when they have germinated and are about 3-5 inches tall. They should look pretty sturdy. Remember, though, that seedlings are delicate. You should transplant them in the evening, not in full sum. Also, they should be well watered. If a few germinate, you could experiment - one in the ground, one in the pot. Good luck!

• My seeds sprouted today! Two of them germinated and they are like a 1/2 inch tall.

  Ally and Emma,
  Wow, you both had seeds that sprouted at the same time. They should really take off now. I just returned from Seattle, and I was surprised by how much my garden has grown while I was gone.

  They are not required, but highy suggested. It is a good way to document your progress.
