Completion Project Examples and Ideas

What are projects that students have done in the past, are working on currently, or might be planning for the future?  Post any ideas for projects as well.  Please feel free to post if you are a student, advisor, or anyone else who has found their way to this forum.  Please note that comments will not be posted immediately.

    I currently have a student researching child abuse. The student is looking into what constitutes child abuse and how child abuse issues were handled in the past, such as the orphan train of the 1800's.

    A past student I advised looked at contemporary views of the Titanic sinking. The student looked at books and resources from 1912-1920.

    Many students come into the library to do research and popular topics are fire fighting, EMTs, rescue dogs, mental illnesses, physical illnesses, alternate energy sources, environmental issues, genocide, and human slavery.

    I've judged several interesting projects. One was the history of frisbee. Another was a detailed explanation and analysis of fantasy football.
