I thought today went fairly well. I did most of talking which is something that does not happen very often. We filled out information cards with students' and parents' names, addresses, and contact information. Parents, if your student doesn't know your email address, I would appreciate it if you would send it to me some time during these first few weeks. After filling out the info sheets, I introduced myself and spoke a lot about classroom procedures. These procedures will be written in full and found under the "Rules and Procedures" link by next Monday if you're interested to see how I run my class.  We also filled out interest inventories, so I could get to know the students a little more. Tomorrow, we will pick up textbooks during English classes, so students may want to bring an extra bag to carry those textbooks around. Make sure you bring your schedule, so you can receive your books!
